Embedded Wizard Studio: License Management Error dialog

Except the Free edition, Embedded Wizard Studio is protected by a license key and license management system running on our servers. At the runtime, the license verification depends on working network connection. If Embedded Wizard Studio detects a problem with the license key or the network connection, following License Management Error dialog is displayed:

How to close an active session?

In order to validate a license Embedded Wizard Studio communicates with our license management servers. Concrete, when you start Embedded Wizard Studio it asks the servers to start a session. When you exit Embedded Wizard Studio it informs the servers to close the session again. During the session exists it remains reserved exclusively for the particular user. In some cases, however, it can be reasonable to force the license management servers to close an active session manually making the license free again:

You are using a node-locked license and you want to move Embedded Wizard Studio to another Windows machine or user account.

You forgot to exit Embedded Wizard Studio in your office and you want to continue using it in your home office, for example.

Embedded Wizard Studio crashed retaining the actual session as reserved and you don't want to wait until the latest license lease expires automatically.

To close a session manually please log-in to our get.embedded-wizard.de download center. If you have no own account, please ask the responsible license administrator in your company to do this for you. On the download center please expand the section License Keys. Below this section you see all license keys associated to your account and an overview of their actual usage:

Before you close a session please take a look at the both columns CURRENT USER and SESSION AGE. They provide information about the actual user of the license and the time when Embedded Wizard Studio renewed the license lease for the last time. This is useful to decide which session is the right to be closed - especially if your license allows multiple users to work with Embedded Wizard simultanously. To close the session click on the link CLOSE and confirm the operation in the thereupon shown dialog.
