Menu and Toolbar: Project

The menu Project and the corresponding toolbar contain general commands for creating, loading and saving Embedded Wizard projects:

New ...

With this command you can create a new Embedded Wizard project. Activating this command causes the Create new project dialog to appear where the project name, its location and the template to use for the new project can be selected. After creating, the new project is opened automatically.

If there is currently another project opened and this project contains unsaved modifications, Embedded Wizard will warn you as shown in the following screenshot giving you a chance to save the modifications before the new project is created and opened:

Open ...

With this command you can open an existing Embedded Wizard project. Activating this command causes the regular file open dialog to appear where you can explore the file system and select the desired project. Embedded Wizard projects are files having the file extension .EWP.

If there is currently another project opened and this project contains unsaved modifications, Embedded Wizard will warn you as shown in the following screenshot giving you a chance to save the modifications before opening the selected project:

Open example ...

With this command you can open one of the example projects provided with Embedded Wizard setup. Activating this command causes the Open an example project dialog to appear where available examples can be explored and selected.

If there is currently another project opened and this project contains unsaved modifications, Embedded Wizard will warn you as shown in the following screenshot giving you a chance to save the modifications before opening the selected example project:

Save

With this command Embedded Wizard stores all recent modifications of the current project. You can configure Embedded Wizard to save the modifications periodically. Use for this purpose the menu command Enable auto save.

Close

With this command you can close and unload the currently opened project. If the project contains unsaved modifications, Embedded Wizard will warn you as shown in the following screenshot giving you a chance to save the modifications before the project is unload:

Exit

With this command you quit Embedded Wizard Studio. If there is currently a project opened containing unsaved modifications, Embedded Wizard will warn you as shown in the following screenshot giving you a chance to save the modifications before the project is unload:

Open recent project

For your convenience Embedded Wizard remembers up to 9 (nine) recently used projects and list them in the bottom area of the menu. To open one of the projects click on the corresponding menu item:
